Auburn Family All In....and ours is too!
It was a family affair in more ways than one last weekend when Auburn beat #6 LSU in Jordan-Hare Stadium. We had quite the group at the game including AmyLaura, Anna's sister; Nathan, the Townson's and Owen's mutual cousin; Kennedy, Mabe's and my brother; and Michael Pair. I'd like to think our large group of diehards helped cheer our Tigers to victory. True fans that we are, we arrived at the gates 6 hours before kickoff, beaten only by a few fans who had actually slept there! Having previous experience with these matters, we of course came prepared with cards and snacks to pass the time (sunscreen would've been nice, but us Fisher girls only looked like lobsters for 3 or 4 days). Face tattoos on and hair sprayed Orange and Blue, we were stretched, hydrated, and ready for the mad dash into the stadium when the gates opened at 11:45. We got great seats in the end-zone, although not the front row we were shooting for....still not sure what went wrong there, but next game, next game!
The game itself was a blast, although it did have its frustrating moments which no Auburn game can be without. One of the highlights of the game was Cam Newton's 49 yard run for a touchdown with LSU defenders falling all around him, reminiscent of the epic battle scene in the cartoon Robin Hood (Cam being Lady Cluck)! Heisman anyone?? I've never seen fans stay in the stadium as long after the game as they did after this huge win! Winning a close and hard fought SEC game is one of the best adrenaline rushes you can find. Below are some pics from our fun day (you can click on each one to see a larger image).

Sarah(Fisher), Where is the picture of your student? Did MP spray all the hair? I like Kennedy's AU on his head:) Glad ya'll had fun!:)
ReplyDeleteBethy, I'm didn't put my students picture here because I'm sure I'm not supposed to. Sarah Townson and Anna helped spray the other heads but MP did mine and Kennedy's. Surprisingly we didn't have to strap Kennedy down to get him to go along with this!

ReplyDeleteGood old Kiki!:) I'm surprised he even let ya'll put AU on his head! Mabe really didn't need to color orange on her head it is the PERFECT color for auburn! How did ya'll get the picture of Cam Newton?
